Business Simulation Developed at INSEAD

Development of the Storewars business simulation started in 1995 at INSEAD alongside with the best-selling book 'Store Wars: The Battle for Mindspace and Shelfspace'. Vast amounts of real market data, sales and consumer behavior research across multiple markets were used to provide for accurate reflection of real market trends.

Storewars was taken from the academic environment of INSEAD and introduced to major, multinational FMCG companies. These organizations required an effective management development and business training tool to help them address the growing power of modern retailers.

The complex Storewars software is constantly evolving and developing: we are now using Storewars Version 6.0 which is a big step forward in terms of features, content, programming and data used. The Storewars E-learning module is a highly effective tool for on-line self-preparation and is of crucial importance due to the fact that the Storewars course has become much more intense and industry focused than its original incarnation.

Since 1995, Storewars has been run over 700 times in 43 countries in 8 different languages. 50+ top-tier FMCG manufacturers and retailers have used Storewars for tailored corporate courses and representatives from 500+ companies have attended open courses. More than 15,000 key management executives, from board level to business unit linked to modern retail, have participated in Storewars so far.

The Storewars Business Simulation world is constantly growing as we expand our global network of accredited partners and trainers across all the continents.
